MANCHESTER UNITY

The Loyal Albion Lodge met on Thursday evening, N.G. Bro. R. F. Thomson presiding. Three new members were initiated and four propositions for membership received. Prior to adjourning, the N.G. welcomed the P.G.M. and the district officers. The lodge closed at 8.30 p.m. to allow the half-yearly degree meeting and purple lecture to be held. This was subsequently presided over by P.G. Bro. W. Hutton, who, with his team of officers conferred the respective degrees on a number of past officers. During the meeting sympathetic reference was made to the passing of P.P.G.M Bro. B. H. Rosevear. who for many year’s was actively associated with the Past Grands’ Lodge in the degree meetings, and who was one of the members of the original team of officers. Those present stood in silence as a mark of respect to his memory. A vote of thanks was accorded those officers who carried out the degree meetings.
