DAMAGE BY FROST
FRUITGROWERS’ HEAVY LOSSES SMALL OUTPUT FROM HAWKE’S BAY (Per United Press Association) HASTINGS, Feb. 4. The anticipated output of fruit from Hawke’s Bay for export this season is 5000 cases, against over 200,000 cases last year. This reduction is the result of extensive damage to the orchards caused by the frost in October.
