THREAT TO SCREEN ARTIST HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 5. (Received Dec. 6, at 5.5 p.m.) Ginger Rogers is. guarded by Federal agents following receipt of two letters threatening the life of her mother and herself unless 5000 dollars were paid to the writer. LOS ANGELES, Dec. 6. (Received Dec. 6, at 8 p.m.) James Hall, aged 20, a sailor on the naval aircraft carrier Lexington, has been arrested in connection with the threat to Ginger Rogers. The Department of Justice agents trapped him in a cafe from which the letter which demanded the money had been brought.
