BODY FOUND IN RIVER 'Per United Press Association) FOXTON, Dec. 2. The body of a young man, subsequently identified as Stanley Wright, aged 19 years, was found floating in the Manawatu River, near the Heads, this morning. The deceased was last seen alive on Thursday last. There was a letter on the body addressed to his mother. Mrs Crosbie, of Foxton, stating that the deceased intended leaving on a trip round the world on a bicycle. Bicycle clips were found in the trousers. The body was fully clothed, and there was nothing to indicate how the deceased got into the water. FATAL HEART ATTACK ELDERLY MAN’S DEATH 'Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 2, Stated to have been suffering from heart attacks previously, an elderly man. William Greenbank, of Roseneath (Wellington), collapsed and died almost immediately. He had been engaged in carrying firewood down a hillside pathway, and was found by his son lying over a heap of wood he had been carrying. He was employed by the Wellington Harbour Board FARMER FOUND DROWNED (Per United Press Association) NELSON. Dec. 2. The body of Edward Jacob Gifford Askew, aged 74. a retired farmer, of Riwaka, was found in the Motueka River. At the inquest a verdict of death by drowning while the deceased was in a state of mental depression was returned. CHINAMAN FOUND HANGED (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 2. Gcw Yew, also known as Gew Wing, a Chinese laundryman, of Armagh street, was found hanged at the rear of his shop this afternoon.
