MORTGAGE LIABILITIES

APPLICANTS FOR RELIEF ATTORNEY-GENERAL’S ADVICE (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 2. All mortgagors who desire to obtain relief or to have a further postponement of mortgage liabilities are strongly advised by the Attorneygeneral (Mr H. G. R. Mason) to make immediate application. “They must not come forward on February 1 and plead that they did not understand that applications had to be in by January 31,” Mr Mason said. Even those who wanted a continuance of the present benefits must apply. The Minister anticipated that there would be a rush of work for the adjustment commissions, and more appointments might have to be made He said it was the Government’s desire to dispose of all cases during the next year so that those affected would be free from any future disturbance in their contracts.
