NEW YORK ROBBERY
SAFE LOOTED OF JEWELLERY THIEVES POSE AS WORKERS NEW YORK, Nov. 23. (Received Nov. 24, at 0.15 a.m.) A band of armed thieves assumed the management of an apartment building, tying up the elevator operator, the furnaceman, and the superintendent, and posing in their capacities without suspicion by the tenants for five hours while other members drilled the flooi of a vacant apartment Into a jewellery store below, where they looted a safe of 10,000 dollars’ worth of gems and escaped.
