Noble 4 and 3. ST. CLAIR CLUB Good conditions prevailed in the second round of match play for the annual championship events on Saturday afternoon.. In the club championship the remaining first round match between C. B. Wight and H. A. Gamble resulted in a win for Wight by 2 up and 1 to play. The second round resulted as follows: — J. E. Matheson defeated .D. S. M'Lean at the nineteenth. C. B. Wight defeated A. Lawrence. 6 and 5. C. Rhodes defeated W. D. M'Kenzie, 4 and 2. D. C. Bennie defeated J. H. Chapman, 2 and 1. DEWAR CUP (Intermediate). J. H. Robertson defeated L. E. Routledge, 2 and 1. W. M'Ghie defeated J. W. Delbridge, 1 up. J. C. St. George defeated W. F. Sligo, 6 and 4. E. N. Elder won by default from K. Chalmer. JUNIOR CUP A. Jefferson defeated J. F. Fleming, 3 and 2. E. J. Doogue defeated A. H. Myles, 6 and 5. R. T*. Simpson defeated A. G. Bayliss, 1 up. H. J. Rackley defeated J. B. Deaker, 2 up. . Although defeated in the Dewar Cup event, J. H. Delbndge was responsible for creating further interest in the proceedings by holing out in one at the ninth hole. The first teams' competition between St. Clair and Belleknowes was played at Corstorphine links during the week-end for a cup presented by the Belleknowes Golf Club. Conditions were ideal, and St. Clair registered a win of 12a to 3 J of the 16 game played. Although the games consisted of match plav on handicap, the advantage of local knowledge counted greatly in favour of St. Clair players. BELLEKNOWES CLUB The Stableford Bogey Pairs played on Saturday afternoon under ideal climatic conditions resulted in a win for R. Penman and E. M'Parland B GRADE St. George (102 for three) defeated Planet 38 and 34. For St. George A. Thomas made 62 not out; D. Richardson two for 10. For Planet L. Freeman made 12, D. Richardson 10, M. Huband 11; P. Hannagan nine wickets for 17 runs, M. Cole three for eight. Invicta 77 (I. Wood 22, Skilbeck 10 not out) beat King Edward Foresters 44 and 27 (Dyke 11 and Freeman 14). [deal conditions prevailed for the third series of matches in the Auckland Cricket Association's senior championship competition yesterday. The grounds were hard and dry and the weather hot, with a north-west breeze, for the cricket matches on Saturday, when the third series of matches was concluded. Old Boys 342 drew with Lancaster Park 312 for seven wickets (Bellamy 50 Dryden 66. Cobden 60). St. Albans 199 and 39 for no wickets beat Old Collegians 84 (Tucker four wickets for 23, Lindloy four for 11) and 150 (Somerville 45: Lindley three for 19 and Tucker three for 20). Riccarton 140 and 214 for four wickets (Jacobs 66, Jackman not out 53. Roberts 60) beat East Christchurch 112 and 239 for eight wickets, declared (Waine 129).
