Gay Sheik was third in the Ormond Handicap, won by Hostile. Sunny Morn was second in the. Stansmore Two-year-old Handicap. The Maiden Two-year-old (first division) resulted as follows: HARDBERAGE, 8.6 (Preston) .. 1 SILVER BOND. 8.2 (Jennings) ..2 BAZAAR, 8.0 (Phillips) .... .. 3 Fourteen started, including Lady Quex. Treasure Trove was second in the first division of the Farm Novice Handicap, and Chief Comedian was unplaced. Mananui and Retrieved were unplaced in the Hor.'ley Handicap, and Riposte was unplaced in the Leumeah Handicap.
