FALL FROM TRAIN MAN FATALLY INJURED (Per United Press Association; TAUMARUNUI,. Nov. 21. . A fatal accident occurred on the Main Trunk line when the first express from Wellington to Auckland was passing through the King Country during the night. Herbert Kenneth Harre, a married man, aged 46, apparently fell from the train between Owhango and Kakahi. . He was occupying a sleeper with his wife, who missed him and reported the matter to the guard at Frankton. A goods train driver discovered the body at 7.30 this morning lying on the track. Mr Harre was branch manager for Messrs Chandler and Co., advertising contractors, Wellington, and was travelling to Auckland with his wife, son, and daughter on transfer to the Auckland office. He had been in ill-health. He had difficulty in breathing, and frequently rose during the night and went out into the fresh air. It is thought that he had gone on to the train platform and accidentally fallen off. An inquest will be held on Monday. COLLISION AT INTERSECTION MOTOR CYCLIST FATALLY INJURED (Per United Press Association) WANGANUI, Nov. 22. When a collision occurred between the motor cycle he was riding and a motor car at a suburban intersection this morning Arthur Herbert Guy, aged 20, received injuries from which ho died in hospital. MAN'S SUDDEN COLLAPSE (Per United Press Association) HASTINGS, Nov. 22. While riding a bicycle, William Fleming, aged 58, collapsed and died in Napier yesterday afternoon. The deceased, who had been shovelling coal in the Napier railway-yards, felt unwell, and left for home. Beyond his name, the police know little about the deceased, who was sft 6in in height, of slight build, clean shaven, hair going grey, and a star tattoo mark on the left forearm. BULLET WOUND IN HEAD YOUNG MAN DIES IN HOSPITAL (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. Suffering from a bullet wound in the head, a young man named Reginald Clark Smith, aged 19 years, was taken to the hospital from the shooting gallery in Courtenay place yesterday, and died at 0.30 a.m. to-day. The proprietor heard a shot when he was closing the gallery for the night, and on turning round discovered the man lying on the floor. Clark had been on the premises for two hours, talking with other patrons, but not joining in the shooting. The evidence so far indicates that Clark's death was accidental. FALL FROM TIMBER Ivan Fay, aged six years, residing at 16 Wilkie road, was admitted to the Hospital at 5.45 last evening, suffering from a fracture of the left leg, received when he fell off some timber near his home. A FRACTURED ARM Alexander Findlay, aged 94, residing at 14 Agnew street, was admitted to the Hospital at 8.50 p.m., suffering from a fractured right arm, received when he fell in the bathroom at his home. FALL OVER BANK Through falling over a bank while playing yesterday afternoon, Harry Hunter, aged 11, residing at 100 Leckhampton court, suffered a dislocated right elbow. He was admitted to Hospital at 4.35 p.m. INJURIES TO HAND While cutting the lawn at his residence with a pair of shears on Saturday afternoon, Benjamin Harold Roseveare, aged 48, of 6 Turner street, Maori Hill, suffered injuries to his right hand when the blades slipped. He was admitted to Hospital at 6.20 p.m.
