BOY SCOUTS

CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS QUESTION OF A JAMBOREE (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 20. The part the Scouts are to play in the centenary was discussed at the annual meeting of the Boy Scouts’ Association to-day, and it was decided to set up a sub-committee to gather all information regarding the cost of a Dominion jamboree or of provincial jamborees. A motion was carried that the council should call the attention of the executive to the serious leakage in the number of Scouts enrolled, and request that immediate attention be given to the matter by the appointment of someone to get particulars of the position in the various districts. A sub-committee is also to investigate finance and report in six months’ time.
