ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 20. Serious injuries were suffered by J. Corcoran when his motor cycle struck a car at Kelburn. Corcoran was thrown over the front mudguard of the car and landed on the roadway. KILLED BY FALL OF COAL Fatal injuries were received by Reg. Blake, a Denniston miner, early on Thursday afternoon through being caught by a fall of coal in the Wareatea extension of the Ooalbrookdale mine, owned by the Westport Coal Company. The injured man was extricated by his mates and conveyed to the Denniston Hospital, but died on his arrival there. Blake was a single man, about 30 years of age. He is survived by one sister, Mrs Saunders, of Denniston. and a brother in Christchurch.
