The China clipper arrived at Cavite Harbour yesterday. Mr Kiernan and Miss Kilgallen were among the passengers. H. Ekins, of the Scnpps Howard newspapers, who is leading in the race, took off from Cavite naval base for Guam this morning aboard the Hawaii clipper en route to Wake, Midway Islands, Honolulu, San Francisco and New York. Miss Dorothy Kilgallen, of the Hears! newspapers, and Leo Kiernan, of the North American Newspaper Alliance, are aboard the Steamer President Pierce, and are expected at Manila in time to reach the China clipper leaving for Guam on Friday. Meanwhile Lauren Lyman, of the North American Newspaper Alliance, is flying by the China clipper to-day from Wake Island, en route to Guam, and it is expected that the two clippers will land at Guam together to-night.
