CROWN JEWELS STOLEN
FROM LISBON PANTHEON THIEVES PRAY AT TOMBS LISBON, Oct. 18, (Received Oct. 19, at 11.15 p.m.) Under the eyes of the guards and many visitors thieves stole the historic golden crown and valuable crown jewels from the Pantheon in broad daylight. The guard recalls the entry of two men and three women. The latter prayed for a prolonged period at the tombs of King Carlos and Crown Prince Louis Phillipe. The theft was not noticed before the time of closing, when it was discovered that the reliquary had been forced and rifled.
