AMBER FRUITADE Take 11b loaf sugar, 2 large lemons, 25 gills water, 1 grapefruit, 1 orange. Measure sugar into a saucepan. Ada the water. Stir occasionally, till sugar is dissolved. Bring to the boil. Boil for five minutes. Halve the fruit, carefully remove the pulp and juice and add to the syrup. Bring again to boiling point and allow to simmer round the edge. Skim carefully. When cold, strain through , a hair sieve or muslin. Add soda water to taste. BEN FRITSKI Take 1 cupful sugar, 1 pint cold water, lib tin grated pineapple, 1 orange, 3 lemons, 2 bottles ginger ale. Boil sugar and water together for 10 minutes. Add pineapple and the juice of orange and lemons. Strain, cool, and add chipped ice. Pour in ginger ale and serve, FRUIT NECTAR Take 1 quart water, 2 cupfuls grapefruit. juice 4 oranges, 2 cupfuls sugar, juice 4 lemons, 1 egg-white. Mix together the water and sugar, Heat to boiling point, then boil slowly for 10 minutes. Cool, add grapefruit (cut into small pieces), lemon and orange juice. Freeze to a mash. Add stitTly-whippcd egg-white, then chill for three hours, and use.
