BIG INCREASE IN TRAFFIC (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Oct. 5. (Received Oct. 6, at 5.5 p.m.) The railway traffic figures show that passenger journeys made on British railways durmg the first six months of the year, but excluding season ticket holders, increased, compared with the corresponding period of last year, by 18,469,678, or 3.1 per cent. For freight the figures relate to the 28 weeks ended July 11 and show an increase, compared with the corresponding period of 1935, of 6,138,509 tons, or 4.2 per cent.
