JAPANESE PEACE ENVOY
ARRIVAL AT NANKING DISCUSSIONS ARRANGED (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) NANKING, Oct. 5. Mr Kuwashima, a special envoy from Tokio, arrived with secret instructions for the Japanese Ambassador, Mr Kawagoe. Marshal Chiang Kai-shek will consult the Executive Council tomorrow and will then open discussions with Mr Kawagoe, which, it is hoped, will lead to a settlement of the Sino-Japanese dispute.
