BRADFORD TOPS MARKET (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, Oct. 5. Bradford tops are very firm. Yarns are quiet. Contracts are already well covered. SOUTH BRITISH INSURANCE The directors of the South British Insurance Company have announced that a final dividend of Is 4d per share, the same rate as in recent years, has been declared, making 2s 8d for the year ended August 31.

A cat has died at Wadley, Georgia, after a bite from a dead rattlesnake. A farm hand is reported to have killed the reptile, cut off his head and buried it in the sand. A moment later the cat came along and began pawing at the freshly-turned ground. The head of the snake was uncovered and fastened on the cat's paw. The animal died at once.
