ro THE EDITOR. Sir, —1 have followed with interest the discussion in your paper on the conveyance of pupils to schools. I agree fully with your correspondents that some form of inspection is necessary. Reading between the lines of the letter from “Surprised” 1 get the impression that he perhaps infers that the particular service described was one of which Mr Cooper had some knowledge. Before commending the board member on the stand he has taken, I would like his assurance tha“ this is not so.—l am, etc.. Interested. Oamaru, September 29
