ST, PAUL’S CATHEDRAL
SPRING FLOWER SHOW The annual spring flower show conducted by the members of the congregation of St. Paul’s Cathedral was held in St. Paul’s School room yesterday. Although the entries were smaller numerically than last year, there was good competition in nearly all the sections, and the whole exhibition was attractively staged. The decorative work was of a high standard, no little artistry being displayed in the selection and arrangement of the posies, bouquets, and bowls. Competition was particularly keen in the children’s posies, 22 exhibits being forwarded by children under 12 years of age. In the cut flowers section polyanthus and daffodils were the strongest sections, but the viola and anemone exhibits included some fine specimens. The decorative work was judged by Mrs A. H. Fisher and Miss Nicholson, and the cut flowers by Mr C. Rhodes. A number of stalls were also conducted. and during the afternoon and evening these were well patronised. The following were the stallholders:— Plants: Lady Sargood. Mrs Cheeseman, Mrs M'Kellar.
