BASKETBALL
SATURDAY'S MATCHES
The following are the results of the basketball matches played on Saturday:— FIRST GRADE ALBANY I v. TRAINING COLLEGE 11. Albany, playing its usual speedy game, easily defeated Training College 11. The centres, combining brilliantly with the defence, ably fed the forwards, who, especially in the second half, made the most of their opportunities. Result: Albany I 21, Training College II 4. UNIVERSITY v. Y.W.C.A. Some excellent play was witnessed in the game between University and Y.W.C.A., with University just a shade better throughout. Many good passing movements by both teams made the game a very interesting one. University proved the winners, 17—12. ROSLYN v. ALBANY 11. The game between Roslyn and Albany II was marked by excellent combined play by both sides. Roslyn had the better of the exchanges in the first half, but Albany retaliated after half time, and made a good recovery. The game ended 13—10 in Roslyn's favour.
