Langley, who was beaten by C. Pearce in the Australian Sculling Championship, won the State Champion Pairs over, two miles.
AMATEUR ATHLETICS LOVELOCITIN FORM. (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, June 13. (Received June 14, at 10 p.m.) In an inter-club match for the Kinnaird Trophy at White City, Lovelock, representing the Achilles Club, won the Three Miles in 14min 20 l-ssec, a record for the contest, beating Hadland, of Polytechnic, by 12 yards. The New Zcnlander ran easily with the leaders throughout the race, and sprinted over the final 100 yards and won amid enthusiasm.
Brown won the 100 Yards in 9.9 sec. beating Sweeney, the British and Empire. Games champion, by inches. Brown won the Quarter Mile in 48.3aec, a record for the contest, beating Rampling, the British record holder, by a yard.
