FULLERS' VAUDEVILLE The box plans for Fullers* HartO'Brian Celebrity Vaudeville Company will open at 9 a.m. to-morrow at the D.I.C. The season will begin at His Majesty's Theatre next Monday and opens with a gala performance at 8 p.m. Dunedin theatregoerr should welcome Sir Benjamin Fuller's new vaudeville show, imported direct from London. It is the first Fulled' stage show to come to New Zealand for more than six years. It i. the latest in vaudeville production, and will be presented in its entirety as shown in London. The frocking and scenery are said to be most lavish; the majority of the gowns were made in Paris. The opening production, " Birds of the Night," presents an array of glamorous stage spectacles, scenic effects, costume creations, vaudeville Lots, dancing, and comedy. It is reported to be a fine jxnmplr of modernising the vaudeville, and bringing it into line with the entertainment developments of 193(1. The artists aiv excellent; Frank O'Brian, the English comedian, is seeu wandering through the scenes in various guises; he can do much without over-emphasis, as. for example, in his attempt io tell what Eve said to Adam. In Janice Hart the company has a tuneful singer, with a f.air for wearing good clothes. The vaudeville items and the 12 Casino Girls make -up what is claimed to be the best vaudeville show yet seen in Australia or New Zealand. The company is especially strong in specialty acts, amengst those beta* The Orlandos, an outstanding adagio dance act; one of the members of the team is a girl who is apparently possessed of no bones whatevei and who, while supported by the other members of thi trio, ties herself int an amassing variety of knots and figures. Another act is the Three Velcscos in sensational robatic stunts.
