WELLINGTON AND CANTERBURY NATIONAL MILE CHAMPION DEFEATED (Peb United Press AssociAnu.s, WELLINGTON. March 15. Thg annual contest between representatives of the Wellington and Canterbury Centres of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association yesterday resulted in a draw, nine competition points each. The chief feature of the meeting was the defeat of V. P. Boot (Canterbury), the national mile champion, by A. R. Wilson (Wellington) in the mile race. The time was 4min 25sec.
