RUGBY LEAGUE
ENGLISH TOURING TEAM SULLIVAN TO BE CAPTAIN LONDON, March 4. The Rugby League team to tour New Zealand and* Australia is as follows: — Full-backs: —Sullivan and Brough. Wing Three-quarters. —Morlev, Hudson, Smith, and Edwards. Centre Three-quarters.-—Fred. Harris, Atkinson, Hisman, and Belshaw. Five-eighihs.—Jenkins and Brogden. Halves. —Watkins and M'Cue. Forwards. —Field, Armitt, Silcoek, Woods, Miller, A. L. Jones, Troup, A. K. R. Wright, Hodgson, Exlcy, Vevelley, and Ellarington. The team will embark for Australia on .April 17. Sullivan is captain. Bennett, the coloured five-eighth, is a notable omission, but the administrators decided not to risk criticism of his inclusion. The forwards are nearly all men of speed. Clever handlers, they are good in the loose and the tight. The weight of the scrum compares favourably with previous English sides. Feetham, although considered the most outstanding loose forward in England, was left out because it was thought he was not rugged enough.
