That warning has been unheeded, and as a consequence magistrates have decided to take a very firm step," said Mr 12. D. Mosley, S.M., to-day, when dealing with cases of dangerous driving: "That is not only'in Wellington, but throughout New Zealand. " It is the only way we can take to do our best to prevent the horrors that have happened in New Zealand during the past few weeks. We have a duty to the public to perform. If we do not do it we ought not to be here." The magistrate fined the two defend ants £3 each and suspended the licence in one case till May 31.
