MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION

ELECTION OF OFFICERS (Per United Press Association) NAPIER. March 5. The 1937 conference of the Municipal Association is to be held at Timaru. The date is to be fixed by the executive of the association. The election of officers of the association for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Mr 1. Jordan (Mayor of Masterton); vice-pre-sidents—the Mayors of Auckland (Mr K. Davis), Wellington (Mr T. C. A. Hislop), Christchurch, Duuedin (the Rev. E. T. Cox), and Timaru (Mr T. \V. Satterthwaite); executive committee, president and vice-pmsidents, together with the Mayors of Napier (Mr C. 0. Morse), Mount Albert (Mr R. l'orner), Sumner (Mr T. Newbuifjh), Rotorna (Mr T. Jackson). Ashburton (Mr W. H. Woods), and Hnwera (Mr Campbell), the chairmen of the town boards of Papatoetoc (Mr J. Nicholson) and Otautau (Mr A. A. Liddell).
