WINTER EXERCISES ARRANGED BOMBERS AND FIGHTERS (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, February 17. (Received Feb. 18, at 5.5 p.m.) In order to test the effect upon the control and intelligence organisations of intensive opei*ations under winter conditions, the air exercises which hitherto have been held at Home during the summer months, will be started to-morrow afternoon for a period of 24 hours. The exercises will be on the usual lines of a bomber attack on selected objectives by day and night, and 72 bomber aircraft will be opposed by an equal number of fighters.
