SWIMMING BROADCAST
TO THE EDITOE
Sir, —I would be interested to know who made the arrangements for the broadcast of the championship events at the New Zealand senior swimming championships, held in Dunedin this evening. The person who did so was evidently very shortsighted and lacking in consideration in having the events broadcast from Station 4YO. In Christchurch it was impossible to hear what was being said because of a continual whining, and it is therefore quite obvious that the people in the North Island heard absolutely nothing at all. This certainly is not the way to treat swimming enthusiasts in other parts of New Zealand, who are just as. anxious to know how their representatives are getting on as the Otago people are. 4YO may be good enough for Otago listeners, but it is not good enough for us. Trusting the races will be broadcast from 4YA on Monday and Wednes-
day.—l am, etc., Canterbury. Christchurch, February 15.
