QUEEN CARNIVAL
The Queen ■ Carnival organised to liquidate the debt on St. Mary’s Convent School, Kaikorai, was continued on Saturday afternoon and brought to a conclusion in the evening. Both sessions drew large attendances, and all the attractions were well patronised. The response by the people of the district was so spontaneous that the carnival was a complete success. The competition between the stalls, conducted on' behalf of the four carnival queens, created keen interest.
