THE SHARE MARKET DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE Bank of New Zealands were disposed of at £2 7a 7d on the Dunedin Stock Exchange on Saturday morning, a final seller at £2 7s 9d failing to attract further buyers. Commercial Banks were inquired for at 18s Bd, but sellers did not come forward. National Insurances were on offer at the slightly easier price of 19s, but buyers were not interested. • Contributing New Zealand Refrigeratings were offered for sale at 10s lOd, but buyers would not give more than 10s Bd. Mortgage Corporations were inquired for at 4s 3d, sellers remaining unchanged a£ ss. Milburn Limes changed hands at £2 4s 9d, the closing buying and selling quotations being £2 4s' 6d and £2 4s 9d respectively. Buyers of Mount Lyells offered the firmer price of £1 2s, but sellers would not do business under £1 3s. SALES REPORTED.

Supplies in Australia of Mildura dried fruits are reported to be exhausted, and local stocks are in very short compass. Some local houses are indeed now without stocks. New season’s supplies should be available about the end of April or the beginning of May. The quotations for the new season s New Zealand canned fruits should he on the market in a day or two. It is expected that apricots and peaches wi 1 show an increase in price. (Received Jan. 20, at 8 p.m.) With tlte Government’s fiscal situation steadily appearing more complicated and rumours persisting that some new monetary move is being considered in Washington the dollar fell heavily in foreign exchange markets to-day. Sterling advanced to 5.02 i, the highest since September, 1934, and the franc was quoted at 0.08. Government bonds were universally lower.
