AIR MINISTRY
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SUGGESTION (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 10. The necessity for an Air Ministry in New Zealand was emphasised at a meeting of the council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce to-night when it was unanimously decided to request the Associated Chambers to make representations to the Government to adopt the proposal. It was not suggested that the office should occupy the full time of a Minister, but with such a Ministry there would be a supreme controlling authority over all matters in connection with aviation in New Zealand instead of the present division of control between the Transport Co-ordination Board, the aero clubs, and the Defence Department.
