TRANSATLANTIC SERVICE EXPERIMENTAL FLIGHTS WASHINGTON, December 9. (Received Dec. 10, at 9 p.m.) It has been learned that Pan-American Airways and Imperial Airways have reached an agreement to start experimental transatlantic flights under American and British joint operation, probably about March 15. From then until October 15 flying boats will follow the Newfoundland-Ireland route, after October 15 will change to the Lon-don-Spain-Azores-Bermuda route for the winter months. It was agreed that American flying boats of the China Clipper type be used initially, but some visiting British experts expect to visit the plant where they are made with a view to building similar craft in England.
