"MARRY THE GIRL"

COMEDY FOR GRAND THEATRE Those theatregoers who attend the Grand Theatre to-day should be provided with hilarious entertainment when the latest Aldwych Theatre comedy, "Marry the Girl," will have its initial Dunedin screening. This film hag received excellent support wherever it has been screened and its humorous story has delighted patrons. Having a gay story and with such stars as Sonnie Hale and Winifred Shotter, one can easily, understand the glowing praise of English critics, who class the production. as being the biggest comedv success ever presented on the screen, even eclipsing the world-wide successes, "Rookerv Nook," "Thark" and "Are You a Mason?" Besides these two favourite stars, other members of the cast include Amy Veness (whose portrayal as the mother-in-law in " My Wife's Family" will be remembered), the charming Judy Kelly and the always reliable Hugh Wakefield. Of "Marry the Girl" the London Kinema wrote: "This merry flirtatious escapade clearly shows that Director Mac Lean Rogers appreciates the importance of pace in the treatment of farce comedy. The picture goes over with tremendous verve and builds up to a crescendo of light-hearted entertainment in which the laughter comes thick and fast."
