FORBURY PARK COMMITTEE

A meeting o£ the committee of the Forbury Park Trotting Club was held last night, and was attended by Messrs B. S. Irwin (president), J. M. Samson, James Black, C. R. Hadfield. D. C. Jelly. A. Clark, T. Fogg. J. Trengrove. H. Archbold and James Mitchell. It was decided to write to the Otago A. and P. Society suggesting that the summer shpw be held at the same time as the club’s meeting on January 30 and February 1. Mr A. J. Hastings wrote accepting the position of starter at the club’s meeting. It was decided to grant a bonus of 120 to Mr IV. F. Dunne, the retiring starter, who had filled the position for 22 years. Two now members were elected. The following Judicial Committee was appointed:-—Messrs Irwin, Archbold, Black, Goughian and Mitchell. Arrangements were made to have the official times of races posted in the outside enclosure at the next meeting. MARABOU’S PART OWNER DEAD (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MELBOURNE, November 7. Mr B. Fell, part owner of Marabou, died in his sleep early this morning. Though a sick man, he attended the races on Tuesday, and from a car in front of the stand was able to see Marabou win the Cup. Mr Fell, who was C 9, was a committeeman of the Williamstown Racing Club and the Victoria Amateur Turf Chib. He also raced Henare, Ashvicw, Cable, Free Wheel, Farndnlc, Royal Messenger and Dominant
