FIRST MATCH IN INDIA (United Presa Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) RAJKOT, November 5. (Received Nov. 6, at'2 a.m.) The Australians began the first match of their Indian tour to-day against West India States at Rajkot. The weather was bright and pleasant, and 5000 were present, including a number of ruling princes of Western India and their families. West Jndia scored 154 in their first innings (Gurtu 25, Faizahmad 25, Narsingrao 22). Five wickets fell for 28 after lunch. Oxenham took five wickets for 40, and Mair four for 63. Australia has scored 30 for no wickets" (Wendel Bill 18, Hendry 12).
