FOREIGN BOND ISSUES

DEFAULTS TO AMERICANS WASHINGTON, October 30. The Securities Commission announces that 35 per cent, of foreign bonds outstanding in the United States to the value of 1,921,000,000 dollars is in default. Mr Reuben Clark, president of the Foreign Bondholders' Protective Council, states that 25 of 41 countries had issues now in default, aggregating 5,409,000,000 dollars.
