THE BLUE STAR LINE
ANOTHER VESSEL LAUNCHED LONDON, October 30. (Received Oct. 30, at 10 p.m.) The Blue Star steel-built, Dieselcngined cargo steamer Dunedin Star, of 10,000 tons and 522 feet long, was launched at Cannnel Laird's yards at Birkenhead. The building of the Dunedin Star's sister ship has already been begun. Sir Edmund Vcstey pointed out that the Government Research Department's discovery of a method of shipping chilled meat from New Zealand and Australia called for the building of £5,000,000 worth of steamers.
