Dunedin experienced ideal summer weather yesterday, the sun shining from a clear sky. A light north-east wind prevailed, and 'the maximum temperature was 61 degrees. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. The barometer fell to 29.40 in in the afternoon and then be j came steady. WELLINGTON, October 30. Cold, boisterous and wet conditions were experienced to-day. Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. .27in of rain fell. The maximum temperature was 50.9 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, October 30. The weather to-day was fine and sunny, with a maximum temperature of 56.1 degrees. There was a moderate northeast breeze in the morning, changing to a fresh east-north-east wind in the afternoon. The barometer is rising and now reads 29.95 in.
