DUNEDIN CITIZENS’ GOOD FORTUNE TWO TICKET-HOLDERS DRAW HORSES Dunedin residents have already been extremely lucky in the cash consultation in connection with the Melbourne Cup, prizes of £IO,OOO and £IOOO having been won by # local syndicates, but word has now been received that further good fortune has attended Dunedin contributors to the sweepstake, two ticket-holders having each drawn a horse, which will thus give them the chance of winning the first, second or third prizes of £50,000, £IO,OOO and £SOOO respectively. One of the lucky tickets drawing the horse Plus Fours is No. 129,936, and is held by a syndicate of 20 employed by a tailoring establishment in Princes street, and the other lucky ticket-holder is the proprietor of a small business in George street. The holders of the tickets, which cover a list of 91 horses, will not know the value of their tickets until after the running of the Melbourne Cup on November 5. At the present time the holder of a full ticket which has drawn a horse is entitled to £4l 7s Bd.
