THE PROBABLE STOPS LONDON, October 23. “ We may not hear from Sir Charles Kingsford Smith for a long time after leaving Marseilles,” one of Kingsford Smith’s colleagues told the Sun-Herald, supporting a statement attributed to Sir Charles in the Evening News that he intended taking on sufficient petrol at Marseilles for a non-stop flight of 3000 miles, stopping only at Bagdad, Allahabad, Singapore, and Darwin. In the News-Chronicle Scott prophesies that Sir Charles Kingsford Smith will take 57 hours to reach Australia, compared with 524 by the Comet, but lie thinks from there on to Melbourne Kingsford Smith is likely to beat the Comet by one or two hours. He says that Sir Charles will land at Wyndham and thence make a non-stop flight to Melbourne. RETURN TO LONDON POSSIBLE LONDON, October 24.
