BOY SCOUTS
ATHLETIC COMPETITION The Boy Scouts' annual athletic competition was held on Saturday at the Caledonian Grounds. In spite of the unfavourable weather there was a good attendance of Scouts and Cubs. The Christian Brothers Troop won the Challenge Cup with 27 points. They had three firsts, six seconds, and six thirds. Ocean Beach Troop was second with 16 points, and North-East Valley Troop third with 14 points. The Cubs' section was well patronised, there being over 30 entries for each event, and members from nine packs competed. Dr Cottrell (district commissioner) was in charge, and Scouter Ashman was record steward. The association wishes to thank the Caledonian Society for the use of the grounds and the following members ot the Otago Centre for running the events:—Messrs C. W. Clarke, B. 11. M'Kernan, A. T.
