PETROL FOR AIRCRAFT
TAX REFUND CLAIMS. The item “aircraft” has been added to the list of purposes for which motor spirit subject to a claim for tax retuna may have been used, according to new regulations announced in the. Gazette. The regulations, as formerly, provide for tax refund claims, at the rate ot od a gallon, in respect to certain farm machinery and other plant. In applications for refund of tax on aircraft petrol the make of machine and number of engines has to be specified. Additional particulars required are the horse-power of each engine, the number of gallons an hour used, and the number of hours during the quarter that the aircraft was in use.
