THE WEATHER
The -weather yesterday was dull and overcast, following light rain during the early part of the morning. The barometer was fairly steady, and registered 30.20 at 4 p.m. The maximum temperature was 53 degrees.
REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, July 19. There was a continuation of fine weather and a moderate southerly wind to-day, but the conditions were cloudy and unsettled during the afternoon. The barometer was steady at 30.20 inches after mid-day. WELLINGTON, July 19. The weather to-day was fine, although cloudy at times —calm in the morning, but with a gentle southerly breeze in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 57.2 degrees, and the reading at 4 p.m. was 48.4 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, July 19. The weather to-day was fine, with a very light northerly breeze in the morning, which fell away in the afternoon, when there was a very light shower. The maximum temperature was 52.2 degrees. The barometer is rising steadily and now registers 30.32 inches.
