RETAIL SALES IN BRITAIN (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 29. (Received May 30, at 5.5 p.m.) The money value of retail sales in April was 10.3 per cent, above April, 1934, and 7 per cent, more than in April, 1933. All districts shared in the increased business. The total sales for the first quarter of the trade year were 5 per cent, above February to April, 1934. Stocks at the end of last month were 1.4 per cent, lower in value than at the close of April, 1934. Employment was 1.7 per cent, greater.
