PORT CHALMERS— Mat 3rd. The Otago Steam Navigation’s now steamer Scotia arrived in port in Lie morning on her first trip from Melbourne. She left at 5 p.m. on Saturday, the 23rd ult., and arrived at the Bluff at 2.30 p.m on Friday last. . . . Yesterday afternoon a number of gentlemen connected with New Zealand and the shipping interest accepted the invitation of Mr Cargill to inspect the improvements.
