BOWLING

FRIENDLY MATCH. A friendly bowling match was played on the Otago bowling green on Wednesday afternoon between the passengers of the ship Auckland and the Otago Bowling Club, the Otago Chib winning by 16 points. Totals: Otago 63, Ship Auckland 47. Mr J. H. Bagshaw, chairman of the Ship Auckland Association, at the afternoon tea adjournment, thanked the members of the Otago Bowling Club for arranging the match. Mr C. R. Smith, replying on behalf of the Otago Club, expressed the wish of the Otago players that the match be an annual one.
