FORESTERS

The fortnightly meeting of Court Woodlands Pride was presided over by the chief ranger, Sister M. Skinner. Court Excelsior wrote inviting all officers and members of Court Woodlands Pride to be present at the fifty cighth annual meeting and dance of that court on the evening of February 26. The ritual competition judges (Bros. P.C.K. Thomson and P.C.R. Walton) were in attendance for the purpose of judging the work of the court. They were welcomed by the chief ranger. The chief ranger, assisted by her officers, initiated three new members into the court, who were welcomed with the usual Foresters’ toast. Seven candidates were nominated for membership, the secretary being instructed to arrange for their examination and attendance at the next meeting. The chief ranger closed the court at 9.15 to enable the court’s representatives to attend the diamond jubilee meeting and banquet of Court St. Andrews.
