PIGEON FLYING

DUNEDIN HOMING CLUB. The Dunedin Homing Club flew a flock race on Saturday last from Parnassus. One hundred and six birds, from 18 lofts, wore liberated at 8.30 a.m. in fine weather. Owing to meeting with heavy rain on the home journey the velocity was slower than usual. The winner timed in at 2hr 45min 9sec, taking 6hr 15min 9scc to fly 267 mides 198 yards.
