ROYAL TOURIST
ARRIVAL AT ADELAIDE AN ENTHUSIASTIC WELCOME (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) ADELAIDE, October 12. (Received Oct. 12, at 10 p.m.) One hundred and fifty thousand people lined the streets and gave Prince Henry an enthusiastic welcome to-day. The main ceremony was at the Town Hall, where the Prince met prominent personalities, including the Governor (Sir Winston Dugar), the Chief Justice (Sir G. J. Murray), the Premier (Mr J. E. Butler), and the Lord Mayor (Mr J. R. Cain). The streets were blazing with colourful decorations, and there was bright, sunny weather. Prince Henry later attended the Royal Show. Crowds everywhere fought to obtain a glimpse of the royal visitor. In the course of his reply to the official welcome the Duke said: " You are doubtless aware that your city derives a special connection with my family from the fact that it took its .name trom Queen Adelaide, at the express wish of King William IV." " T. Johnston, one of the Duke's car drivers, who was brought' from England, fell into an engine ashpit at Tralee last night and received abrasions and possibly a broken rib. He received nj"tlical attention on the royal train.
