DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB
The monthly meeting of the stewards of the Dunedin Jockey Club, held yesterday, was attended by Messrs A. C. Hanlon (chairman), L. C. Hazlett, A. N. Smith, W. Garrett, W. F. Edmond, J. A. Cook, and W. J,. Ooughlan, and Dr Batchelor. A statement showing the result of the spring meeting was submitted and was considered satisfactory. Summer Meeting. —It was resolved that a hurdle race be included each day in the programme for the Christmas meeting. The Programme Committee was authorised to draft a programme on the lines of last year's programme and submit same to the nest monthly meeting. The Works Committee was authorised to carry out the work of partitioning part of the stewards’ room to make a room for the president. The Works Committee was authorised to proceed at once with the drainage of the course in front of the stands. It was resolved to hold a special meeting of the full committee on the course on Wednesday next, 17th inst., at 2.30 p.m. Nine new members were elected. Other business of a routine nature was transacted.
